Patient Linked Documents
Page Description
Use the Patient Linked Documents page to add or view linked documents that are attached to the patient.

Viewing Linked Documents
- In the Linked Documents for section of the Patient Linked Documents page you can view attachments that are linked to the chosen patient.
- By default, the section displays ten entries, but can be edited in the Show ___ entries field. Navigate between pages of linked documents by clicking the left and right arrow buttons.
- The table displays the date/time the document was attached in the format MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM, the name of the document that is attached, and a description of the document. Click on the document name to view the attached document in the View Linked Documents pop-up. Delete the document from the patient by clicking the X button.
- Click the OK button on the Patient Linked Documents page to return to the Demographics page.

Adding A New Linked Document
- Attach new linked documents to a patient in the Add a new linked document section of the Patient Linked Documents page.
- Click the Acquire Images button to search your computer to find the document that you wish to attach. Open the document and the document will appear in the Select a file field. You may add a comment in the Comment field, which will then appear in the description in the Linked Documents for section.
- Click the Remove All button to remove all images from the page. Click the Remove Selected button to remove only the images that are selected.
- Click the Convert Selected into Single PDF button to convert the selected images into PDF format.
- In the File to link section, locate and label the result, order, or patient file you wish to link:
- Enter the path to the file you wish to link, or click the Browse button to navigate to the file you wish to link.
- Enter information about the linked document in the Description field. This will help you identify which document is which, without having to actually view the linked document.
- Click the Annotations button to display the Annotations pop-up to add top and bottom annotation(s) for the uploaded image. Enter text into the Top Annotation field to create an annotation that will appear at the top of the image, and enter text into the Bottom Annotation field to create an annotation that will appear at the bottom of the image. Click the ... button to open the Quick Comments pop-up to add quick comments, select a delimiter, and to postpend/prepend/replace other comments. Click the Save button to add the quick comments to the image pop-up, or click the Close Window button to close the pop-up without adding quick comments. Click the Save button on the Annotations pop-up to add annotations to the image, or click the Cancel button to close the pop-up without adding annotations to the image.
- Select the Is Reportable checkbox to mark that the order is reportable. This checkbox appears for each linked document. If a linked document is marked as reportable, it will not be sent without the delivery method supporting it.
- Click the Save button to upload the document to the patient. The uploaded document will then appear in the Linked Documents for section. See the "Viewing Linked Documents" section above.
- Click the OK button on the Patient Linked Documents page to return to the Demographics page.
